The Creative Industries have been hit hard by the Covid-19 crisis – particularly those affected by social distancing measures, due to their reliance on public venues and ‘traditional’, face-to-face, production methods. The crisis has also highlighted the fragility of a sector made up of a large number of micro-businesses and freelancers. But there’s also an agility amongst creative businesses which is enabling them to respond in a productive way and, of course, sectors such as Games are thriving.
So, how profound a shock will this be? How should the sector respond? What lessons can be learned? We will be exploring some of these questions through a series of seminars and blog-posts during 2020.
